Capital One, a Fortune Magazine “100 Best Companies to Work For,” is seeking an innovative Manager to drive product marketing strategy for application experiences & card products. This individual will curate acquisition experiences that meet the needs of the everyday consumer looking to access credit and earn rewards. This role will be responsible for translating audience insights into marketing optimizations, designing learning agendas and collaborating with partners to launch new tactics. The marketer will be a member of the Mainstreet Product Marketing team which is responsible for managing the product positioning for credit cards & applications, developing acquisition journeys to help customers find the right product for their lifestyle.

Responsibilities
Craft marketing strategy for credit card acquisitions, from building consideration through conversion
Synthesize consumer research insights, marketing trends, competitive landscape, and macro external factors to identify new strategic recommendations to improve marketing, business results and brand impact
Collaborate with business analyst teams to understand total business performance and build on analysis to identify new opportunities and adjust marketing/testing strategies
Serve as key liaison for and collaborate with cross‑functional teams including business, channel/performance marketing, product marketing, creative, legal, operations and corporate communications partners
Translate and communicate business intent in a directive manner that partner teams can act on
Partner with internal and external creative and marketing technology teams to build and scale marketing tactics and optimization to drive lifts in KPIs, particularly conversion metrics
Champion the brand, ensuring that the strategies and messaging for each of our credit cards are in line with their respective audience’s needs
Write clear and concise creative briefs, test documents, test plans and strategies, driving continued performance and optimization against KPIs across channels

Continually pushes the boundaries and asks how we can continue to do things better, identifying areas of opportunity
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience
At least 5 years of experience in product marketing or multi‑channel digital marketing
At least 5 years of experience developing marketing test frameworks, driving optimization plans and strategy
At least 5 years of experience managing marketing intent, partnering with creative and channel teams, and developing strategies and briefs
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Marketing, Business or Communications
At least 3 years of experience in marketing for financial services or another highly regulated industry
At least 3 years of experience working with cross‑functional teams in a matrixed environment with a track record of effectively working autonomously and navigating ambiguity
At least 2 years of experience working with marketing tech platforms, including data management platforms and/or customer relationship management systems
At least 2 years of formal or informal management experience
Salary and Compensation
McLean, VA: $151,900 – $173,400
New York, NY: $165,700 – $189,200
Richmond, VA: $138,100 – $157,700
Candidates hired in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered will be reflected in the offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance‑based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long‑term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non‑discretionary depending on the plan.
