Job Description
Strategic Account Manager (Solventum) – 3M Health Care is now Solventum. In this role, you will enable better, smarter, safer healthcare, pioneering game‑changing innovations at the intersection of health, material, and data science. You’ll work closely with the brightest minds in healthcare to blend technology with compassion and empathy.
Impact You’ll Make in this Role
The Strategic Account Manager will manage 1–3 high‑profile clients/partners within an account team environment, focusing on the daily and strategic activities of Solventum’s key business partners and their facilities. You will collaborate with the Account Sales and Strategic Sales teams throughout the contracting process—from pre‑sales to post‑sale—including direct interactions with key stakeholders to grow our partnership and expand Solventum’s footprint in Health Information Systems products and services. The SAM will serve as an expert on each client, embed with the C‑Suite and leadership team, actively seek growth opportunities, and remove barriers to success.
Revenue and retention contract management – responsible for the management and execution of all contractual engagements for existing and new clients, including creating and driving completion of SOWs, pricing discussions, contract negotiation, coordinating integration calls and contract renewals. This is a non‑sales, non‑commissioned role.
Identify at‑risk, contract and compliance issues.
Proactively track and monitor current and past‑due invoices.
Escalate potential product or partnership risks to business leaders for prompt resolution.
Identify potential sales opportunities and collaborate with sales associates and/or leadership.
Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits.
Grow opportunities within the mutual client territory and collaborate with sales teams to ensure attainment.
Develop trusted‑advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders, and executive sponsors.
Ensure timely and successful delivery of all appropriate contractual documentation, including pricing, amendments, scope of work, letters of representation, MOU, contract receipts, CMRs, etc.
Develop new business with existing and/or potential new targets.
Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g., quarterly sales results, annual forecasts).
Prepare and present status of current and future state contractual work efforts.
Coordinate with other departments and local account executives to ensure consistency and satisfaction in the sales process.
Receive, review, and redact pertinent contract language specific for delivery to vendor management teams.
Reconcile contracted payments.
Your Skills and Expertise
Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND 5 years of combined healthcare software customer service and/or sales experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
High School Diploma/GED AND 9 years of combined experience in healthcare software customer service and/or sales.
Experience as a Sales Account Manager or Sales Account Executive.
Knowledge of CRM software (Salesforce, Softrax).

Compensation for this position is $107,600–$147,950, including base pay plus variable incentive pay if eligible. This range represents a good‑faith estimate; final compensation may vary. Onboarding Requirement: New employees hired for this position will be required to travel to a designated company location for on‑site onboarding during their initial days of employment. Travel arrangements and related expenses will be coordinated and paid for by the company according to its travel policy. Applies to new hires with a start date of October 1st 2025 or later.
Responsibilities of this position include compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and security standards while performing assigned duties.
