We are looking for a Product Specialist to join our team!
Summary:
Accountable for product premium volume growth and profitability results within assigned products. Assist product manager in managing relationships of every aspect of assigned product through interaction with relevant departments such as Claims, Underwriting, Sales/Marketing, Customer Service, and outside contracts (agents, regulators and industry groups). Develops action plans and strategic direction for functional areas and maintains alignment with other product managers to ensure successful development of the entire product line.
A typical day will include the following:
Assists in the development and implementation of new policy language and endorsements.
Serves as a contact and technical resource on underwriting policies, programs and processes.
Provides underwriting management guidance and monitors compliance and company guidelines, underwriting processes, procedures, legislative, regulatory, and market conduct issues.
Assist the product manager in the development, implementation, and maintenance of underwriting guidelines, policies, procedures and processes.
Provides guidance and assistance to all levels within the organization.
Assumes assignments of higher technical complexity and coordination.
Develops training materials and trains staff on new and revised underwriting guidelines and initiatives.
Possesses demonstrated technical knowledge and skills, including product and industry.
