APT | Physical Therapy Assistant

Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Physical Therapy Assistant, providing treatment and exercise guidance under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. This role involves delivering compassionate care to patients ranging from newborns to the elderly, ensuring their rehabilitation goals are met effectively. Essential Responsibilities

Adhere to organizational mission, vision, and values while maintaining patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Foster strong communication and professional relationships with patients, families, healthcare team members, and external agencies. Perform duties within the scope of practice as defined by certification standards. Assess patient needs accurately and develop, implement, and review comprehensive care plans. Educate patients on physical therapy processes and care techniques. Complete timely and precise documentation following established policies. General Responsibilities

Perform additional duties as assigned to support department goals. Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not include supervisory or management duties. Education and Experience

Education meeting licensure requirements at the time of issuance. Preferred: Previous experience in a similar clinical environment. Licenses and Certifications

Current Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license through the appropriate state board. Current BLS/CPR certification from an approved provider within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation. If driving is required, a valid driver's license and auto insurance meeting state requirements. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Basic understanding of Occupational Therapy principles. Strong communication skills. Basic computer proficiency. Physical Requirements

This role involves medium work, including occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds and frequently lifting up to 10 pounds. Expect to spend 26-50% of the workday standing or walking.
