
Copywriter

The Copywriter (CW) works collaboratively with the copy team on brands and is responsible for researching, creating, and writing copy that reflects the client’s strategy. The CW will support the generation of unique and innovative materials for brand(s)/client(s) and develop text from draft stage through final copy. Work can include revising/writing manuscripts, referencing, annotations and client medical, legal, or regulatory submissions. They will collaborate with Art Directors and Editorial as needed to ensure content is displayed correctly.
Responsibilities
Write clear, concise copy while maintaining quality control, proper grammar, agency process, client referencing, and legal requirements.
Research, analyze, and interpret data from clinical studies, presentations, and published papers to create compliant copy.
Generate copy content that aligns with strategy and is original, compelling, distinctive, and synergistic with art/graphic.
Proof and edit all copy, paying strict attention to detail of copy/art agreements.
Use agency/client review and routing systems to revise copy, identify problems or inconsistencies, and solve issues with supervisors or account services.
Organize materials from a range of sources to create a compelling narrative or story flow.
Collaborate with Editorial, Account, Strategy, and Project Management to maintain cross‑functional relationships and communicate deadlines, revisions, and quality control.
Work with Art Directors to support creative approaches that communicate brand personalities and messages.
Proactively propose new ideas and suggestions for personal career growth and team dynamics.
Understand the creative brief, client feedback, and marketing plans to contribute innovative ideas appropriate to the client’s strategy and audience needs.
Maintain a detail‑oriented, organized approach to daily responsibilities and complete timesheets, expenses, and other administrative duties accurately and on time.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum 1+ year experience in Marketing/Advertising Business.
Portfolio of work demonstrating strong and consistent writing ability (required).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills: create clear goals, identify and procure necessary resources, and schedule tasks to meet deadlines.
Effective collaboration skills: contribute to a team environment and foster a collaborative atmosphere.
Problem‑solving mindset: identify causes of problems, evaluate solutions, and take action to resolve issues.
Creative mindset with willingness to generate innovative ideas.
Attention to detail: self‑edit work and maintain focus on even the smallest details.
Understand marketing plans, referencing, fact‑checking, and agency processes.
Familiarity with managed markets and the healthcare ecosystem.
Experience working with clinical data and health economics data.
Salary
$60,000 to $80,000 annually
