Role Description We are looking for a Marketing & Social Media Strategist to join Lluen Marketing Agency in a part-time, hybrid contractor role. This position is based in Placer County, CA, with a preference for candidates located in Placer County or the greater Sacramento area, while still offering flexibility for remote work. This role blends strategy, client leadership, and hands‑on execution, and will play a key role in supporting both client success and overall agency growth. The individual in this role will oversee the development and execution of social media and marketing strategies, manage content direction and SMO, and collaborate closely with both internal team members and clients to develop impactful, results‑driven marketing campaigns. In some cases, this role will operate as an integrated extension of the client’s marketing team, requiring strong communication, professionalism, and the ability to represent both the client and the agency effectively. Day‑to‑day, this role includes analyzing trends, guiding content creation, fostering community engagement, coordinating with clients, and ensuring brand alignment across all external communications. The ideal candidate is someone who can think like a strategist, communicate like a consultant, and execute with attention to detail—while staying focused on the bigger picture of each client’s goals and marketing funnel. Please note: This role is intended for an individual contributor interested in growing into a long‑term or full‑time position with the agency. Day‑To‑Day Activities Manage the execution of client deliverables for 3–6 client accounts Develop and lead marketing strategies and campaigns tailored to each client’s goals, audience, and growth stage Build and manage monthly content calendars and campaigns Align social media efforts with the overall marketing funnel (awareness → nurture → conversion) Serve as the main point of contact for clients, managing communication and expectations Set up and optimize CRM systems and workflows to support lead generation, follow‑ups, and client conversion Lead or support client calls, updates, and check‑ins Oversee or execute social media management, including posting, captions, and platform management Overseeing day‑to‑day account management activities for designated accounts, campaigns, and projects, and managing ongoing deliverables. Analyze performance metrics (engagement, reach, conversions) and adjust strategies accordingly Identify opportunities for growth, campaigns, collaborations, and partnerships Ensure all deliverables are completed on time, on‑brand, and aligned with strategy Collaborate with subcontractors, content creators, or editors when needed Proactively identify opportunities for growth initiatives, campaigns, partnerships, and collaborations Support the development of scalable marketing systems and processes to improve client results and internal workflows Required Qualifications 2+ years of experience in marketing, social media, communications, or a related field Proven experience managing multiple client accounts or brands simultaneously Strong understanding of marketing strategy across multiple channels, not limited to social media Experience developing and executing marketing campaigns from ideation to implementation Experience with email marketing platforms, CRM systems, or marketing workflows Ability to think strategically while also executing day‑to‑day tasks with attention to detail Strong client communication and relationship management skills Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities Strong written and verbal communication skills High level of initiative, accountability, and problem‑solving ability Experience supporting or leading campaign launches, promotions, or brand initiatives Preferred Qualifications Experience working in an agency environment or fast‑paced client setting Experience with grassroots, local, or community‑based marketing efforts Experience supporting or leading campaign launches, promotions, or brand initiatives Familiarity with tools such as Notion, Canva, CapCut, Metricool, or similar platforms Travel Minimal, with occasional in‑person meetings or content days if needed. Physical Requirements Able to work on a computer for extended periods, manage digital platforms, and communicate consistently with clients and team members. Compensation Starting at $30/hour, with opportunity for growth based on performance.
