Job Summary Marketing Specialist – The Alaska Commission on Postsecondary Education (ACPE) is recruiting a Marketing Specialist to join its Communications and Outreach team in Anchorage, Alaska. The successful applicant will create marketing content for ACPE’s education loans, scholarship and grant programs, and outreach resources. The role involves managing all ACPE social media platforms, developing strategic stakeholder content, and supporting ACPE’s Strategic Plan, Mission, and Vision. Responsibilities Create marketing content for education loans, scholarship and grant programs, and outreach resources. Manage ACPE’s social media platforms and develop strategic stakeholder content. Identify and develop content to improve awareness and connection to ACPE. Perform high‑level analysis of data; identify trends and develop charts/graphs for visual representation. Develop strategic content and schedule implementation. Manage content and agency engagement, including inter‑agency and external stakeholder campaign coordination. Represent ACPE, its programs, and partners accurately and professionally. Collaborate across agency marketing/outreach and external stakeholders in support of ACPE’s strategic plan. Qualifications Knowledge of marketing elements such as SEO, social media, and marketing research methods. Knowledge of marketing data analytics tools. Knowledge of current state and national trends in higher education and social media development. Knowledge of education challenges/barriers for low‑income and first‑generation college‑going students, especially in Alaska. Effective written and oral communication, including summaries and analysis of complex information. Fostering and maintaining professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Prioritizing, persuasion, and negotiation skills. Problem‑identification and resolution skills. Proficiency in MS Office and marketing software (Adobe Creative Suite). Experience with web analytics, Google AdWords, and similar applications. Ability to develop and maintain relationships with partners. Understanding of communication policies, regulations, and laws. Minimum Qualifications Baccalaureate degree in a related marketing/communications field, or four years of relevant professional experience. Directly relevant experience may substitute for the education requirement on a year‑by‑year basis, but preference will be given to applicants meeting the degree requirement.
