Responsibilities This role contributes to the development of thought leadership content across Hines’ real estate platform. You’ll turn complex ideas into clear, credible narratives and partner with teams across the business to bring them to life and amplify their impact in the market. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Content Development
Create thought leadership content across formats, grounded in Hines’ platform and key themes
Partner with stakeholders across the business to source ideas and shape them into clear, compelling narratives
Write for executives, including articles, social posts, video scripts, and internal communications
Maintain high standards for clarity, accuracy, voice, and style across all content
Campaign Support
Contribute to campaigns across channels, including web, email, and social
Partner with communications, marketing, digital, design, and compliance teams to bring campaigns to market
Editorial & Project Coordination
Help manage the content calendar in alignment with broader campaigns and priorities
Support additional writing, editing, and content needs as they arise
Qualifications Minimum Requirements include:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required
7+ years in communications, content, or related roles in the real estate and/or asset management industries
Track record of managing multiple projects and delivering high-quality work on deadline Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Argus valuation software essential.
Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics
Familiarity with real estate and/or investment concepts
Experience using tools to manage workflows, track progress, and incorporate feedback
Enthusiasm and experience using AI tools to support research, drafting, and editing
Professional Capabilities
Strong editorial judgment knows what matters, what to cut, and when something isn’t clear
Able to synthesize input from multiple stakeholders and iterate quickly
Organized and proactive in managing priorities, timelines, and stakeholders
High attention to detail, with a habit of verifying facts and assumptions
Work indoors approximately 90% of the time and outdoors 10% of the time.
Ability to withstand long working hours, which are frequently necessary.
Ability to thrive and advance in a high-pressured atmosphere.
Willingness and ability to walk around project sites under construction to review progress.
Willingness and ability to travel to and from destinations by plane and/or car.
Compensation: New York: $111,000 - $130,000; Houston - will be dependent on experience
