Technical Operations Coordinator Location: Los Angeles, CA, US

Overview Barco is building the future of premium cinema through high dynamic range (HDR) projection and next‑generation Lightsteering technology. Our Los Angeles–based HDR Content Operations team works directly with studios, post‑production houses, and internal engineering teams to enable the creation, review, and delivery of HDR content for cinema.

We are looking for a highly organized, proactive Technical Operations Coordinator to support the day‑to‑day operational flow of this work. This is a hands‑on, fast‑moving role at the center of technology, content, and people. You will help keep schedules accurate, resources aligned, equipment moving, and sessions running smoothly.

This role also plays an important part in shaping how we organize and track our work. You will help evaluate scheduling and tracking tools, propose improvements, and contribute to building lightweight operational systems that scale with the team.

Responsibilities Scheduling & Coordination

Maintain and update schedules for:

Titles and projects

Review / grading sessions

People and teams

Projectors, rooms, and other shared resources

Track tentative bookings, holds, and rapid changes from studios and partners

Identify and flag potential conflicts or double bookings

Coordinate calendars across internal teams and external partners

Research, evaluate, and help implement scheduling and tracking tools and workflows

Asset & Equipment Tracking

Track physical assets including:

Projector components and accessories

Demo systems and internal tools

Supporting hardware and equipment

Maintain clear records of:

Delivery dates and expected timelines

Equipment movements between locations

Assist with shipping and receiving of:

Projector parts and equipment

Demo systems and supporting hardware

Coordinate logistics with internal teams and external partners as needed

Session Support

Help prepare rooms and systems for sessions

Assist in powering on and running projectors during sessions (training provided)

Act as a point‑of‑contact during sessions for logistical issues

Operational Support

Keep simple tracking documents and spreadsheets up to date

Follow up on open items and loose ends

Support engineers and business team members with ad‑hoc tasks

Help document and improve operational processes

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Comfortable working with spreadsheets, calendars, and shared documents

Experience with booking and scheduling enterprise systems (MS Bookings, SAP, PowerBI, etc.)

Event planning experience (preferred).

Able to manage multiple parallel tasks without losing track

Comfortable in a technical environment (no prior projection experience required)

Experience in media, post‑production, studio operations, or technology environments

Familiarity with file‑based workflows or media assets

Interest in film, imaging, or display technology

Essential Functions

Office Environment - Job performed in normal office environment including 6‑8 hours a day of sitting, computer activities, communication skills, intermittent standing, limited lifting, physical activities or exposure to regular office conditions.

Ability to lift, carry, or position equipment or components (typically up to 50 lbs).

Travel by flight and / car. Ability to conduct on‑site customer meetings, product demos or support activities.

Ability to walk, bend, reach, and move between office, lab, areas as needed.

Ability to connect, unplug, handle, or manipulate cables, small parts, or handle equipment.

Regular business hours apply; however, occasional overtime or adjusted work hours may be required.

Work may require approaching or handling prototype units, displays, system components.

Must comply with all environmental, health, safety, and security protocols.

The salary range for this position in California is $81,000 - $119,000 annually. This range represents the pay that we reasonably expect to offer for this role. The actual salary will be determined based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, and qualifications.
