The Company is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting internationally educated nurses in their pursuit of practicing nursing in Canada. The organization is guided by the values of transparency, fairness, and integrity, and its vision is to be recognized globally as the gold standard in assessing nurses. The Company is currently seeking to fill two Public Board Directors positions, with a focus on ensuring a diverse and complimentary mix of skills and perspectives among its Board members.
The ideal candidates for the Public Board Director positions at the company will possess specialized skills and attributes in areas such as credentialing/assessment, human resources and/or health human workforce planning, experience with internationally educated professionals (with a preference for nurses), citizenship and immigration, and a background as an experienced educator in the health care sector. All candidates must have previous governance experience, and knowledge of the Canadian health landscape is highly valued. Public Directors will serve a two-year term, with the possibility of re-election for up to three terms, and are expected to contribute to the organization's mission of providing a single, standardized process for the verification of IEN credentials and the comparison of their education to Canadian nursing entry-to-practice competencies.
