Description
The
Account Servicing Specialist
is responsible for performing a variety of operational support duties of the Deposit Operations Department. The individual ensures operations functions operate effectively and efficiently while performing daily tasks which support functions of the core processing system. This position will be responsible for processing requests from Bank personnel and customers within given authority and ensures request are completed timely.
Responsibilities include:
Provides support to all areas of the department and demonstrates superior customer service with appropriate follow through with customers and employees
Conducts duties associated with daily operations tasks and ensures that accurate posting occurs resulting in proper balances
Provides technical and problem management support to Bank personnel and customers; responds to inquiries and refers issues to the appropriate department, and exhibits the necessary follow through with customers and/or staff involved
Works with department managers to identify and improve procedures and efficiencies, and to maintain and utilize appropriate escalation procedures and contingency plans; communicates recurring or serious issues to department managers
Contributes in the evaluation of issues surrounding implementation of any changes within data processing systems, hardware or software, or that may impact efficiency and reliability of the job and system performance in conjunction with department managers
Cross trains in all areas of the department as directed; maintains sufficient knowledge of business continuity plan directives and participates in business continuity testing as directed
Assumes responsibility for various department functions in the absence of staff members or in overload situations as assigned
Qualifications :
High School diploma or GED
1 year of administrative experience
ACH experience preferred
Systems knowledge working with DNA FISERV and/or CWSTCM a plus
Good verbal and written communications skills - must be able to communicate with all levels of the organization
Skills :
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Word; basic keyboarding and calculator skills; must be able to do simple math and carry out written instructions
Work occasionally requires more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential functions of the position
Lifting in an office setting may be required up to 30 lbs.
