Commercial Property and Casualty Distribution Training and Engagement Specialist

Job Description The Distribution Training Specialist supports distribution partners and internal teams by developing and executing training strategies, resources, and support deliverables. This role facilitates training sessions, leads new agency onboarding and re‑engagement efforts, and maintains key learning tools such as guides, job aids, process documentation, and e‑learning content. The position collaborates with cross‑functional partners to ensure training initiatives effectively support distribution goals and evolving business needs.

Department Distribution

Work Arrangement

Employees who live within 30 miles of the TMG home office are expected to follow a hybrid or in‑office schedule. The initial training period may require additional in‑office days.

Accountabilities Training Development & Delivery

Execute the annual distribution training plan aligned to business initiatives.

Design, develop, and deliver training for internal and external audiences across multiple formats (virtual, in‑person, webinars, recorded modules).

Maintain and update training materials, including guides, job aids, process documentation, presentations, and e‑learning content.

Facilitate ongoing virtual training sessions throughout the year.

Serve as a training resource for Territory Managers (TMs) and Business Development Leaders (BDLs).

Assess training effectiveness, identify knowledge gaps, and recommend continuous improvements.

Track and measure training impact at the agency level.

New Agency Onboarding

Lead onboarding for newly appointed agencies to accelerate readiness and early production.

Initiate contact upon agency activation and provide a structured onboarding experience.

Deliver quick‑start overviews covering systems, resources, submission processes, appetite guidelines, and support options.

Facilitate product and system training to build early confidence and capability.

Conduct regular touchpoints to assess progress, address gaps, and provide follow‑up support.

Monitor onboarding metrics, including engagement and premium goal achievement.

Lagging Agency Re‑engagement

Re‑engage agencies who are not meeting production expectations.

Diagnose performance challenges and deliver targeted training solutions.

Conduct ongoing touchpoints to monitor improvement and identify additional needs.

Track re‑engagement outcomes, including production and premium performance.

All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum of two (2) years of training experience in the insurance industry or experience in a commercial underwriting role.

Field experience as an agent or in a sales‑support or management role is strongly preferred.

Knowledge of training and development principles, including adult learning methodologies.

Familiarity with distribution and insurance industry practices.

Strong instructional design, facilitation, and presentation skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and virtual training and video tools.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to translate strategy into actionable training plans.

Commercial underwriting or product knowledge preferred.

Overnight travel of 3–5 days semi‑annually required.

Pay Range

72,900 – 110,000 annual base salary depending on experience, qualifications, and geographic location.

80,400 – 120,000 annual base salary depending on experience, qualifications, and geographic location in CA, CT, MA, NJ, NY, and PA.
