Role Description (what you’ll own)
Own and grow strategic, multi-site commercial roofing relationships and build account plans to expand share-of-wallet.
Identify reroofing, service, and preventive maintenance opportunities through site walks/roof assessments, document conditions, photos, and recommendations.
Lead the full sales cycle (discovery → scope → proposal → contract award) while maintaining accurate pipeline, activities, and forecasts in CRM.
Partner closely with estimating, operations, safety, and field leadership to create accurate scopes, budgets, schedules, and a clean handoff from sale to execution.
Support and respond to national RFPs; negotiate pricing, terms, and contract language to close profitable work.
Drive long-term retention through responsive service coordination, warranty support, and proactive roof asset management.
Travel frequently within the United States to support national accounts.
Location Must reside in Central Wisconsin (or be willing to relocate). This role is based out of our corporate office with flexibility to work hybrid when not traveling.
Required experience Commercial roofing experience or commercial construction B2B sales experience.
Job Summary
Own and grow a portfolio of strategic, multi-site commercial roofing accounts through relationship development, account planning, and proactive customer engagement.
Identify reroofing, service, and preventive maintenance opportunities by coordinating site walks/roof assessments and documenting findings, photos, and recommendations.
Partner with estimating and operations to develop scopes of work, budgets, and schedules; ensure accurate takeoffs/measurements and clear assumptions for proposals.
Lead customer proposals, presentations, and national RFP responses; negotiate pricing, terms, and contract language to close profitable work.
Maintain an active pipeline in CRM, forecast revenue, and coordinate internal handoffs to support smooth project kickoff and customer communication.
Travel is needed to support national accounts, strengthen relationships, and drive retention through responsive service coordination and warranty support.
Candidate Requirements
Proven success in B2B sales, preferably in commercial roofing or commercial construction, with experience managing strategic or multi-location accounts.
Working knowledge of commercial roofing systems (e.g., TPO/PVC/EPDM, modified/BUR, metal, coatings, SPF) and common roof maintenance/repair practices; ability to learn company standards quickly.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM proficiency (accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and activity tracking); comfortable working with proposals/RFP documentation.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to coordinate cross-functionally (estimating, operations, safety, field leadership) to align scope, schedule, and customer expectations.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently to support national accounts, including occasional overnight travel.
Ability to perform roof/site visits as needed (including climbing ladders to approximately 25 feet and walking roofs in varying weather conditions). Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Business, or similar preferred (or equivalent experience).
What success looks like (first 90 days)
Become fluent in Avondale Roofing estimating assumptions, service process, safety standards, and closeout/handoff expectations.
Build an account plan for your initial target list (stakeholders, sites, upcoming needs, and next steps) and review it with leadership.
Establish a healthy, measurable pipeline in CRM with documented site visits, proposals in progress, and near‑term opportunities.
Demonstrate strong coordination across estimating/operations on at least one end‑to‑end opportunity from assessment through kickoff.
Compensation $125,000 – $250,000 +
