Ideal Work Schedule (subject to change): 20 Hours •
Sunday:
8:00am-3:00pm (30 min break) - 6.5 hours •
Monday:
10:00am-3:00pm (30 min break) - 4.5 hours •
Tuesday:
10:00am-3:00pm (30 min break) - 4.5 hours •
Wednesday:
10:00am-3:000pm (30 min break) - 4.5 hours
Job Overview
The Social Content Lead role will focus primarily on capturing, editing, and producing high-quality content for Redemption Church. While this role includes helping manage a few of our social media accounts, the primary emphasis is
content creation, videography, and editing
- bringing our church's story to life visually across all platforms.
The ideal candidate is hands-on with a camera, strong in post-production, and passionate about creating engaging content that represents Redemption with excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation (Primary Focus) • Capture high-quality video and photo content during Sunday services, events, and midweek activities. • Edit and produce daily/weekly content including reels, stories, highlight videos, testimonies, and recap pieces. • Help with the full content pipeline: ideation → capture → edit → export → delivery. • Maintain organized media folders, project files, and delivery systems. • Create content that is consistent with Redemption's branding, style, and tone.
Collaboration • Work closely with the social media head, video team, graphic designers, and creative staff to produce cohesive content. • Participate in brainstorming meetings for upcoming campaigns, sermon series, events, and seasonal initiatives. • Support the Social Media Department Head by creating content assets needed for scheduled posts.
Social Media Support (Secondary Focus) • Help manage posting and scheduling for select few Redemption accounts (e.g., young adults, kids ministry, or departments as assigned). • Assist with preparing captions, selecting thumbnails, and optimizing content for each platform. • Respond to messages, comments, and DMs for assigned accounts in alignment with Redemption's voice. • Monitor trends, audio, and best practices to keep content fresh and relevant.
Campaign & Content Execution • Support social campaigns for product launches, events, conferences, and outreach initiatives. • Capture and edit content needed for campaigns (promo videos, BTS, testimonies, reels, etc.). • Help ensure high-quality content is delivered on time for multi-department campaigns.
Volunteer & Team Support • Assist in guiding and growing a volunteer media team. • Provide clear direction to volunteers capturing photos and videos during services and events. • Help onboard and support new volunteers learning basic video or photography.
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills
Required • Proven experience in videography, editing, and content creation. • Strong storytelling skills and creativity in producing engaging short-form content. • Proficiency with editing software: Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar. • Working knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube as content platforms. • Strong communication and organizational skills. • Ability to multitask and adapt quickly to trends and fast-paced environments.
Preferred • Experience with video content creation, editing, and working with a creative team. • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Dropbox, and Asana. • Background in a church, ministry, or event-based creative environment.
