Senior Director, North America Commercial Finance
Location: Parsippany, NJ (Hybrid). Reports to the VP of Commercial Finance and directly partners with the SVP, President of North America. This role is part of the North America Commercial Leadership Team, providing financial leadership to accelerate growth and improve profitability.
Responsibilities
Define the overall financial strategy with the North America President to sustainably drive Sales and OIBT profitability, guiding implementation while working closely with commercial teams.
Serve as a pricing committee member within the region, ensuring channel pricing aligns with overall financial strategy.
Ensure accurate financial reporting, internal controls compliance, and balance‑sheet optimization to improve free cash flow; prepare sales forecasts, manage inventory, review receivables, and negotiate distributor payment terms to reduce DSO.
Participate in integrated Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), aligning demand, supply, and financial projections.
Monitor key business drivers and provide fact‑based business partnering; actively support growth initiatives such as acquisitions, divestitures, alliances, and special projects.
Lead all aspects of the financial reporting processes and the month‑end closing process, adhering to GAAP, corporate policies, and SOX controls.
Coordinate with audit teams for SOX control items during monthly and quarterly close.
Ensure effective flow of financial information within the North America region and globally; develop and communicate standard operating financial data, presenting P&L and balance‑sheet results to the executive Operating Team.
Collaborate with the North America leadership team and global finance teams to develop the Annual Operating Plan and long‑range strategic, operational, and financial plans.
Analyze and assess risk and opportunities, proactively working with commercial teams to implement corrective actions or funding solutions.
Communicate forward‑looking North America commercial forecasts to global and executive Operating Teams.
Manage and coach staff and the professional team.
Basic Requirements
BS in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
10+ years of relevant experience in Finance and Accounting.
Experience partnering with commercial teams to deliver growth and profitability.
Industry experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, and/or life science.
Preferred Requirements
Strong interpersonal skills.
Exemplary analytical skills and creative problem‑solving.
Focus on continuous process improvement.
High proficiency in Excel; SAP S/4Hana, SAC‑P, and Blackline preferred.
Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary: $235,000–$260,000 (subject to variation based on experience and location). Additional compensation includes an annual bonus and a long‑term incentive award. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, retirement savings plans, paid time off, and other rewards within the Total Rewards package.
