Summary Regulatory Strategy & Compliance Analyst / Analyst, Senior

At APS, this is not a back-office compliance role, this is a

high-impact position at the front line of how we engage with regulators, protect our business, and shape outcomes that affect millions of customers across Arizona .

We are looking for a

highly skilled regulatory professional

who can operate with confidence in a complex, highly visible environment, someone who doesn\'t wait for direction, but instead

steps in, assesses, challenges, and drives solutions forward . This role requires a rare combination of

regulatory expertise, critical thinking, business acumen, and communication strength .

You'll have a direct hand in influencing regulatory outcomes, strengthening compliance strategy, and improving how APS shows up with agencies like

FERC and state commissions .

What Your Day Would Be Like

Own and drive regulatory compliance efforts across federal and state requirements, including

FERC filings and high-visibility regulatory submissions

Step into complex complaint cases and regulatory inquiries,

analyze root causes , and proactively implement

process improvements

that reduce risk and elevate performance

Operate as a

trusted advisor

to internal stakeholders, bringing clarity, challenging assumptions, and guiding decisions that align with regulatory expectations

Develop and deliver clear, compelling written materials (responses, reports, testimony) that stand up to regulatory scrutiny

Represent APS with confidence and credibility in interactions with regulators and cross-functional partners

Navigate ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and move work forward independently, while knowing when to

ask the right, strategic questions

to avoid risk and drive better outcomes

Who We\'re Looking For

Proven experience working with

federal and/or state regulatory bodies , ideally within a utility or highly regulated industry

Direct experience supporting or managing

FERC filings

or equivalent regulatory reporting

A true

self-starter

Minimum Requirements Regulatory Strategy & Compliance Analyst

Bachelor\'s Degree

PLUS

two (2) years\' related regulatory compliance experience.

In lieu of a degree, an equivalent combination of education and experience totaling six (6) years is required.

General knowledge of electric utility industry and associated regulatory / legislative issues and related compliance requirements.

Regulatory Strategy & Compliance Analyst, Senior

Bachelor\'s Degree

PLUS

five (5) years\' related regulatory compliance experience; utility-based experience preferred.

In lieu of a degree, an equivalent combination of education and experience totaling nine (9) years is required.

Advanced knowledge of federal and regional electric utility industry and associated regulatory / legislative issues and related compliance requirements.

Major Accountabilities

Conducts compliance reviews related to the operational and technical requirements of regulatory commissions/ authorities.

Submits company filings to various state and local regulatory agencies.

Tracks complaint cases and ensures timely resolution.

Researches information and compiles data for presentation to regulatory bodies.

Working Arrangements Hybrid:

Employees in hybrid roles work both in their home offices (virtually) and alongside their colleagues (in person).

In order for employees to build strong relationships and to promote meaningful in-person interactions, hybrid employees are expected to work about 40% of their time in-person at an APS or other (non-home office) location.

*Employees are expected to reside in Arizona (or New Mexico for Four Corners-based employees).

*Working from a home office requires adequate technology and an appropriate ergonomic set up.
