Bennett Thrasher, a nationally recognized public accounting firm and Inside Public Accounting “Best of the Best,” is seeking experienced Seniors to join our Real Estate & Hospitality Tax team. This role focuses on complex tax compliance and consulting engagements, mentoring staff, and performing first-level reviews, while working collaboratively to deliver value to clients. Tax Staff
on our
Real Estate and Hospitality team . The staff will be working as part of a team and utilizing resources to add value to clients, the Tax Staff member assists with all stages of the preparation process for tax compliance engagements.
Responsibilities
Engages in professional communication with clients under supervision of Managers and Seniors
Accurately and efficiently prepares partnership, S Corporation and individual tax returns and utilizes feedback to prevent from repeating errors
Prepares income tax projections and estimate calculations for clients
Conducts research, analysis, development and summarization of financial information
Analyzes accounting records, financial statements or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
Maintains and organizes client files in accordance with firm standards
Maintains open communication with management regarding the progress of completion on projects
Uses critical thinking to investigate client financials and fix any discrepancies
Participates actively in training and developmental opportunities
Supports Interns in professional development
Qualifications
Basic knowledge of Federal and state income tax laws and principles of individual and business taxation is required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence
Proven time management, organizational and prioritization skills
Actively studying and preparing for the CPA certification
