This is not a passive reporting role. This position owns operational metrics, drives visibility into performance, and leads focused projects that improve schedule adherence, capacity utilization, and execution discipline across the business.

High‑Visibility Role Partner directly with the President and senior leadership on operational priorities.
Influence scheduling, backlog management, capacity planning, and execution performance.
Own reporting, analytics, and cross‑functional improvement initiatives.
Build systems, structure, and processes in a dynamic, evolving environment.
What You’ll Do Operational Analytics & Reporting
Build and maintain a weekly “operational truth” dashboard (Excel / Power BI).
Report on backlog, schedule adherence, utilization, and capacity constraints.
Deliver clear insights, risks, and recommended actions with defined ownership.
KPI Definition & Metric Ownership
Define and standardize KPIs such as hours remaining, utilization, and schedule adherence.
Establish data sources, calculation logic, and reporting cadence.
Drive consistency and adoption across engineering and manufacturing teams.
Backlog Integrity & Data Reliability
Improve reliability of backlog and “hours remaining” estimates.
Perform variance analysis (estimate vs actual) and drive corrective actions.
Improve data consistency and overall data hygiene across systems.
Productivity & Labor Analytics
Analyze labor productivity drivers across fabrication and manufacturing.
Identify relationships between product characteristics, labor hours, and cost drivers.
Translate findings into actionable estimating and process improvements.
Schedule Adherence & Risk Visibility
Develop systems to track plan vs actual performance.
Identify at‑risk projects and create visibility through exception reporting.
Track actions, owners, and resolution progress.
ERP Readiness & Reporting Infrastructure
Support ERP readiness by defining reporting and KPI requirements.
Identify gaps in master data (BOMs, routings, work centers).
Support data cleanup and reporting continuity through system transitions.
Cross‑Functional Project Execution
Lead 1–2 high‑impact operational improvement projects at a time.
Define scope, timelines, and deliverables.
Facilitate meetings, track actions, and ensure follow‑through.
Executive Support & Operating Cadence
Support weekly operating rhythm with reporting, agendas, and pre‑reads.
Provide executive‑ready summaries and decision support.
Maintain structured tracking of priorities, risks, and commitments.
What We’re Looking For Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, Analytics, or related field preferred.
Equivalent experience will be considered.
Experience
3–7+ years in operations analytics, manufacturing, industrial engineering, or similar roles.
Experience in engineered‑to‑order or project‑based manufacturing strongly preferred.
Experience supporting ERP systems, reporting structures, or data environments preferred.
Technical Skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
Working knowledge of Power BI (or ability to quickly learn).
Strong ability to work with incomplete or evolving datasets.
Experience building dashboards, reporting systems, and operational analytics.
