About Dendera Studios Dendera Studios is a Bronx-based cinematic content and brand management agency. We don\'t make content — we make films for brands. Every client is the main character, and every frame is intentional. Our roster spans bespoke menswear houses, nonprofit organizations, cultural events, and indie film projects. We bring a director\'s eye to everything we touch.
The Role We\'re looking for a Video Editor & Videographer who can shoot with precision and edit with narrative instinct. You\'ll be embedded in our production pipeline from pre-production through final delivery — operating camera on set, assembling edits that tell a story, and contributing to a body of work that looks and feels like cinema, not content.
You\'ll be crafting talking heads that feel intimate, brand films that feel authored, and event recaps that move — all while understanding that the final destination is social. We make cinematic content built for the scroll. You need to know what stops a thumb, how to cut for vertical, when a 15-second version hits harder than a 60, and how platform logic shapes editorial decisions. If you care about lighting, pacing, sound design, and the cut — and you think in hooks, formats, and retention — keep reading.
What You\'ll Do
Shoot on location across NYC (primarily the Bronx and Manhattan) for client sessions, brand content, and event coverage
Edit client deliverables including brand films, social-first short-form content, Reels, event recaps, and documentary material
Adapt long-form footage into platform-optimized cuts (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts) with an eye for hooks, pacing, and retention
Collaborate directly with the Creative Director and content strategist on shot planning, mood, narrative direction, and content calendars
Manage footage ingest, organization, and archival within our production pipeline
Deliver polished exports optimized for social platforms, web, and presentation
Participate in internal reviews via Frame.io and maintain version control discipline
What You Bring
A reel that shows range — not just technical skill, but taste, and ideally social-native work
Fluency in social-first content creation: hooks, pacing for retention, vertical formats, platform-specific editing conventions
Strong camera operation skills; experience with Blackmagic and Canon cinema/mirrorless systems preferred
Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve and/or Adobe Premiere Pro
Understanding of color grading, sound mixing, and motion graphics (After Effects a plus)
Ability to shoot handheld, run-and-gun, and controlled studio setups with equal confidence
Reliability, professionalism, and the ability to represent Dendera on set with clients
Based in or around NYC with the ability to travel to shoots across the tristate area
Bonus Points
Experience in fashion, menswear, or luxury brand content
Documentary or narrative film background
Have your own ready-to-shoot camera package (photo + video)
Familiarity with Asana, Frame.io
Compensation Hourly compensation, commensurate with experience. Hours flex based on production schedule and client needs. Consistent contributors will be considered for ongoing retainer arrangements.
Dendera Studios is a division of Factotum Films LLC. We are an equal opportunity employer and encourage applicants of all backgrounds to apply.
