Director, Sales - Ace Hardware & Co-Op

Summary Reporting to the Vice President, Sales- Home Depot & Co-Op, the Director, Sales- Ace Hardware & Co-Op is responsible for delivering profitable growth within the Co-Op Hardware channel (consisting of Ace Hardware and other Co-Op accounts). The role will drive and deliver growth by working directly with corporate merchandising teams.

This is a hybrid role based in our Palatine, IL office. Approximately 25-35% domestic travel will be required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Account Partnership

Develop influential relationships with key decision makers and executives at all levels with new & existing customers; develop joint business planning structure and processes

Possess a thorough understanding of the customer P&L and manage the business with a General Manager mindset

Provide strategic thought leadership to the organization on product development, merchandising, pricing, promotion, and assortment optimization opportunities with key customers

Identify opportunities to improve supply chain, operations, or product packaging initiatives to support and grow the business

Lead the development of presentations for line reviews and business planning meetings

Achieving Sales Goals & Corporate Objectives

Develop and execute sales strategies to drive aggressive revenue and market share growth; deliver weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial targets

Align retail channel strategies with corporate objectives to ensure we are positively impacting high level goals

Executive Report Out

Provide leadership on account service needs to ensure timely execution and follow-up of all activities

Deliver monthly performance and key metric scorecards and provide meaningful insights on customer and market performance

Leverage both quantitative and qualitative data, to deliver an accurate and attainable customer level forecast to supply chain

Communicate internally any concerns related to customer service levels (i.e. OTIF, ASN, etc.)

Customer Programs

Negotiate Weber Blackstone’s annual marketing, advertising support, and volume commitment programs. Work closely with Director of Finance to ensure sales and profitability goals are met

Effectively communicate and gain support for Weber Blackstone’s Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) program

Create actionable rep communications

Focused on sales targets, event tracking, and corporate initiatives on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis

Events, Shows, Store Walks

Collaborate with Experiential Team to develop effective product knowledge programs to be executed between Weber Blackstone’s field sales force and store-level associates

Captain trade show planning and execution with relation to any sales objectives/responsibilities

Participate in customer store walks, events and training where applicable

Team Development

Lead, coach, and develop respective Manufacturing Sales Representatives

Education, Qualifications and/or Experience

Four-year college degree from an accredited college or university

Minimum of 15 years sales experience, preferably in consumer products

Minimum of 10 years of proven success directly managing regional and national retailers, including experience calling on co-op headquarters

Strong leadership skills and demonstrated ability to lead sales and business development for a strategic segment of the business

Possess strong conflict resolution skills and a demonstrated ability to build relationships and key partnerships

Possess strong business and financial acumen

Proven success coaching and leading business professionals

Proven success developing, presenting, and implementing business plans

Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and SAP

Highly enthusiastic and hands‑on business approach

Skilled multi‑tasker with a proven ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities

Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate into impactful sales results

Salary Range $169,200-190,800; this role is also eligible for participation in Weber Blackstone's bonus program
