In NC, we operate three pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities that are responsible for fulfilling different steps in our injectable and oral treatment supply chains. Our Product Supply Aseptic Manufacturing (PS AM) facility in Clayton, NC is a 457,000 square foot aseptic "fill and finish" site that is responsible for producing innovative, injectable diabetes and obesity treatments. At PS AM, you’ll join a global network of manufacturing professionals who are passionate about what they do.
The Position Drug Product Manufacturing (DPM) US is an organization anchored in three Novo Nordisk US Aseptic & Tablet manufacturing sites located in Clayton & Durham, North Carolina and Bloomington, Indiana. DPM (US) P&O Business Partnering is responsible for being a proactive contributor to strategy development in DPM (US) which requires insight and understanding of the value chain together with extensive business acumen.
Relationship Reports to Vice President.
Essential Functions
Trusted Advisor to SVP and DPM (US) Leadership Team
Translate business strategies and priorities into P&O strategies and plans
Builds organizational capabilities
Delivers business results with and through the Novo Nordisk P&O organization
Member of the DPM (US) Leadership Team (LT)
Coach business and P&O leaders, teams and individuals
Leads the DPM (US) P&O organization consisting of P&O and Training Partners; manages, develops, engages and retains DPM (US) P&O talent and more broadly talent from across the P&O organization
Accountable for the full budget in DPM (US) P&O; management of budget and spending in ensuring both are aligned with forecast and FTE development
Accountable for the Strategic Priorities across CMC&PS P&O together with the CMC&PS P&O Leadership Team
Responsible as PoC for US Employee Relations Team
In partnership with the Line of Business and P&O leadership teams the Sr P&O Partner is responsible for initiating, leading, driving and facilitating:
Organizational Development and Effectiveness — Continuous reviews, assesses and evolves the business to drive organizational efficiency, scalability and agility
Culture and Engagement — Shapes and fosters an engaging, diverse and inclusive employee environment rooted in the NN Way. Support that all leaders and employees are living the NN Way
Change Management — Accelerates the process and transition of change in parallel with the adoption of future skillsets, mindsets and behaviors
Talent Management and Development — Builds leadership capabilities and plans to address future needs; creates opportunities for talent to reach their full potential
Workforce Management — Facilitates systematic processes to understand and inform future workforce needs; identifies gaps and develops plans to address, invest and optimize resources
Training — Responsible for setting the strategic direction for training across the DPM (US) organization, ensuring high-quality, compliance, and effective learning solutions that support business performance, capability building, and readiness across all relevant areas
Physical Requirements Ability to work in an open‑office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. (Percentage can change on a case‑by‑case basis based on the role)
Development of People Supervisory.
Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field of study from an accredited university, with minimum ten (10) years of progressively responsible Human Resources, Organization Management, and/or Employee Relations experience, required, preferably in a pharmaceutical or related healthcare industry
In lieu of a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business administration or related field of study from an accredited university, may consider minimum fifteen (15) years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience, required, preferably in a pharmaceutical or related healthcare industry
Masters degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field of study from an accredited university, preferred
HR Professional certification desired
Minimum seven (7) years of experience in direct people management roles, required
Ability to deliver results in a virtual, complex, matrix environment, required
Experience leading large, complex transformations (mergers/acquisitions, organic growth, divestiture, etc.), required
Possess Novo Nordisk value chain insight and understanding, preferred
Experience managing global, multi-disciplined HR teams, preferred
