Job Summary WOIO in Cleveland, Ohio, is seeking a Creative Services Director. This is a department head leadership position, managing the station’s award-winning marketing and promotions staff, and is the top creative consultant for exceeding client expectations and managing the station’s marketing initiatives. The position serves as the primary leader in developing and executing the station’s marketing strategy to drive ratings and digital impression growth.
Duties/Responsibilities
Work closely with General Manager and other department heads to manage and execute initiatives to enhance the station’s internal and external image.
Work directly with sales managers, account executives, and clients to complete commercial and station projects.
Collaborate with News Director and News staff to develop and execute powerful image campaigns that reflect the direction of the station’s news brand. Market all station digital media initiatives, working closely with news and digital teams to identify daily opportunities to reach the target audience. Oversee station public relations, station news releases, and community partnerships.
The ideal candidate has a leadership mindset and is comfortable assuming ownership of the station’s marketing goals. Previous management experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will have an impressive reel of completed video projects and a proven track record of hitting deadlines.
This individual must be able to perform various physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor’s degree in marketing (or related field) preferred; equivalent experience considered. 6+ years related experience, including broadcast marketing and digital/social marketing, video production/editing, and Adobe Creative Cloud (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator).
