Description Ellsworth Corporation is a global, industry‑leading distributor, manufacturer, and packager of specialty chemicals and adhesive products used by the cell phone, medical device, space/aerospace, and electric vehicle industries. The Senior Director, Supply Chain will be responsible for enterprise leadership of end‑to‑end supply chain strategy and execution, reporting to the SCD division, with a hybrid schedule based out of the Germantown facility.
Responsibilities
Define and execute an enterprise supply chain and purchasing strategy aligned with company growth, profitability, customer service, and operational objectives.
Own enterprise purchasing and sourcing strategies to ensure consistent delivery of materials and services that meet quality, volume, availability, and cost requirements.
Lead strategic supplier relationships, including ownership of enterprise contract negotiations covering pricing, freight, service levels, and commercial terms.
Establish governance, policies, and operating models that ensure compliance, manage risk, and balance agility with control across the supply chain.
Oversee integrated supply chain operations, including purchasing, sourcing, planning, and inventory management.
Monitor and improve supply chain performance through defined KPIs, dashboards, and operating rhythms focused on service, cost, inventory, and supplier performance.
Qualifications
12+ years of progressive experience in supply chain and/or purchasing roles.
10+ years of management or executive leadership experience.
Demonstrated experience leading purchasing and supplier management teams with accountability for cost, service, and risk.
Proven success managing complex supplier relationships and enterprise‑level contract negotiations.
Experience leading integrated supply chain functions across multiple sites or business units.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field required.
Master’s degree preferred.
Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
APICS, CPSM, CSCP, or other relevant supply chain or purchasing certifications preferred.
Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with executive and senior leadership.
Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate strategy into execution.
Proven ability to build and sustain effective cross‑functional and supplier relationships.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Results‑driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and customer value.
Up to 25% domestic travel; occasional international travel may be required.
