Senior Associate, DoubleDash Strategy & Operations
DoorDash, New York, NY, United States
About the Team
Strategy & Operations is the engine that drives DoorDash’s business forward, owning high-priority problem areas, developing strategy, and driving measurable business outcomes. DoorDash invests deeply in this function because of our belief in an ownership mentality — our teams are expected to both define the strategy and execute it.
The DoubleDash S&O team focuses on scaling multi-vertical growth by improving how customers discover, add on to, and complete orders across the DoorDash marketplace. We partner closely with Product, Pricing, Finance, Analytics, and Operations to drive improvements in revenue, cost efficiency, and customer experience through a mix of strategy, analytics, operational changes, and product launches.
About the Role The Strategy & Operations Senior Associate role sits at the center of DoubleDash's growth engine, where funnel optimization, product experimentation, and marketplace economics converge. You'll lead the day-to-day operational activities that power how we test, launch, and iterate on product experiences: designing clean experiments, deep-diving results to inform invest/pivot/kill decisions, and partnering across Product, Ops, Engineering, and Finance to turn findings into action. This is a high-throughput, high-autonomy role for someone who wants to sharpen their craft in experimentation and product analytics while directly shaping a business line that touches millions of orders.
You will report to the Senior Manager, Marketplace Strategy & Operations, on the DoubleDash team within the US Marketplace organization. This role is based in the United States, with flexibility across DoorDash office hubs to support close cross-functional collaboration.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…
Identify and solve complex business problems
by framing the right questions, analyzing data, and translating insights into clear recommendations and actions.
Own and build
critical components of the DoubleDash experience, driving initiatives end-to-end from sizing and planning through launch and iteration.
Partner cross-functionally
with Product, Pricing, Finance, Analytics, and Operations to align on priorities, navigate tradeoffs, and execute effectively.
Expand scope and impact over time
by taking on new problem areas and contributing to high-visibility initiatives that shape DoorDash’s marketplace strategy.
Pioneer the use of AI-powered tools
and agentic workflows to accelerate analysis, automate reporting, and deliver step-change improvements in team throughput.
We’re excited about you because…
You have 4+ years of experience in strategy & operations, product ops, growth, or a similar analytical role within a marketplace or consumer technology environment.
You are deeply analytical, with strong SQL skills and hands‑on experience designing, executing, and reading out A/B tests or experiments in a product context.
You have a product sense — you understand product lifecycles, can QA a feature with a critical eye, and know how to translate data into recommendations.
You are comfortable working through ambiguity — defining metrics where none exist, scoping problems that aren't fully formed, and making progress with imperfect information.
You are a self‑starter with a bias toward action who takes ownership of outcomes and thrives in fast‑moving environments.
You are comfortable working with AI, leveraging tools like Cursor and Claude Code to multiply analytical output and drive measurable business outcomes.
