Multimedia Specialist
The Multimedia Specialist will work independently and within the University’s Marketing and Communications department to develop and implement strategic digital content for a variety of University audiences including prospective students and families, current students, alumni, donors and faculty/staff. This position requires creativity, critical thinking skills, knowledge of design software and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic digital content for university audiences.
Produce creative content that inspires and engages stakeholders and supports institutional priorities, from conception to completion on videography, photography, digital media both static and animated.
Assist in design and production of marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, posters, presentations, and digital graphics.
Collaborate with admissions, advancement, athletics, academic departments and others to create content showcasing Husson’s strengths.
Provide excellent customer service to University clients.
Work within a project management system to manage requests, schedules and ensure timely delivery of high‑quality deliverables.
Act as brand steward and maintain visual creative, marketing and design standards across all media.
Translate strategic goals into engaging creative deliverables that align with Husson’s brand.
Lead the video creation process, manage editing and post‑production, and build a library of photo and video assets.
Maintain design standards and collaborate with the marketing team on enrollment campaigns and social strategies.
Use Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Animate or other HTML5 animation software) with advanced proficiency.
Stay current with industry best practices in digital marketing, higher education communications and audience engagement.
Occasionally work evenings or weekends as needed.
Work independently and proactively with strong project management and organizational skills.
Qualifications
Education – Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, video or multimedia with an emphasis on video/photography.
Two years of experience in marketing/communications; experience in higher education preferred.
Experience in photography, videography, editing and creative design, multimedia production.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects).
Experience in social media marketing is a plus.
Strong understanding of project management principles and tools.
Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, make decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
Work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Attention to detail, good judgment and mature decision‑making abilities.
