Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year A bit about us: We are seeking a Heavy Civil Estimator to join our team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This role focuses on estimating large-scale land development projects, with a specific emphasis on heavy civil infrastructure, including land clearing, grading, drainage, and road installation. You will work closely with the leadership and design teams to secure profitable work, manage project controls, and develop comprehensive plan packages for construction documentation. Why join us? Job Details Roles & Responsibilities Estimation & Take-offs: Perform detailed quantity take-offs and prepare accurate estimate packages. Review and interpret civil design drawings and technical specifications to ensure bid accuracy. Software Integration: Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D, AGTEK, and Bluebeam to assist with estimations and provide markups for material take-offs. Bid Management: Analyze bid proposals and assist in defining project specifics, timelines, and costs. Develop tracking formats to trend bid data for unit rate standardization. Project Controls: Develop project schedules to track field progress and assist with change order estimates, document preparation, and status tracking. Subcontractor Coordination: Review subcontractor estimates for accuracy and ensure all project attributes are addressed. Field Analysis: Perform site walkdowns for both prospective bids and active projects to inspect current conditions and ensure bid conformity. Relationship Management: Foster and maintain strong professional relationships with owners, contractors, and vendors through active participation in coordination meetings. Experience & Skills Required Industry Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience specifically within land development and civil construction projects. Technical Knowledge: Understanding of civil construction work processes, materials, and legal/regulatory requirements. Software Proficiency: Proficient in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and AGTEK, alongside standard Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook). Project Documentation: General understanding of all phases of document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications. Estimation Fundamentals: Experience in calculating labor, material, and time requirements. Professionalism: Strong oral/written communication skills, high degree of integrity, and a reliable means of transportation with a clean driving record. Experience & Skills Desired Education: College-level study in Construction Management or a related field is preferred.
