GCP Engineer 12 Months contract . Later hire / Extension Location: REMOTE JOB Job description: We are looking for a Senior GCP Cloud Engineer to design, build, and maintain our cloud infrastructure across compute, storage, data, and security domains. You will partner with platform, DevOps, and application teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient GCP environments — driving engineering excellence through automation, infrastructure-as-code, and well-architected cloud patterns. 5+ years in cloud/infrastructure engineering with hands-on in GCP Strong experience with GCE instance management, managed instance groups, and autoscaling Proficiency with GKE — cluster provisioning, upgrades, workload scheduling, and Helm Solid understanding of GCP IAM, service accounts, and Workload Identity Federation Production-grade Terraform experience — modules, state management, remote backends, Atlantis or similar Familiarity with GCP networking: VPC, Shared VPC, Cloud NAT, Cloud DNS, and Load Balancers Experience with Cloud Build or other CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD) Working knowledge of Python, Go, or Bash for tooling and automation Understanding of SRE principles — SLOs, error budgets, incident response, and postmortems Strong documentation habits and ability to communicate trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders
