Dress for Success Palm Beaches is part of a global organization dedicated to empowering women to achieve economic independence. Since its establishment in 2010, the Palm Beaches affiliate has served over 5,000 women in the region, partnering with more than 100 referral agencies to address the area’s nearly 20% poverty rate among women. The organization provides programs such as professional suiting, job readiness training, virtual coaching, and networking opportunities through its professional women’s group. Dress for Success Palm Beaches is also supported by its Young Executives for Success (YES! Palm Beaches) group, which engages in social networking and fundraising to further the mission. Recognized with the 2020 GuideStar Platinum Seal of Transparency, the organization relies on the dedication of its volunteers and supporters to make a difference in the community.
Role Description This is an on-site, full-time role for a Director of Development and Volunteer Engagement, located in West Palm Beach, FL. The Director will oversee all aspects of the organization’s development and volunteer engagement strategy. Responsibilities include managing fundraising activities such as planned giving, annual giving, and philanthropic programming. The Director will also lead volunteer recruitment, training, and retention efforts and collaborate with staff and the community to enhance the organization's impact and reach. Budget management and identifying opportunities to sustain and grow partnerships will be integral to this role.
Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in Planned Giving, Annual Giving, and Philanthropy
Strong skills in Budgeting and resource allocation
Proven track record of success in Fundraising and building donor relationships
Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational abilities
Familiarity with nonprofit organizations, including knowledge of compliance and best practices
Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, or a related field
Proficiency in donor management software and tools is a plus
