The Facility Director is responsible for the tools, equipment, and services that support the functionality, safety, cleanliness, and sustainability of buildings, grounds and infrastructure of the assigned branch. This position manages a facility with 100k or more square feet and 4 or more pools.

What You’ll Do

Provide overall coordination of facility and vehicle maintenance, including planning and developing preventative maintenance.

Provide prompt response regarding maintenance and/or buildings and grounds issues.

Maintain swimming pools per CCHD and PA Dept. of Health Regulations.

Maintain cleanliness of building at all times.

Oversee all contractors that work in the facility and grounds.

Maintain grounds in a safe manner and have all seasonal facilities open and operational according to schedule developed by Program Directors.

Maintain an adequate inventory of custodial and maintenance supplies.

Lead and coordinate Buildings & Grounds Committee meetings.

Follow all Association safety standards when performing any tasks.

Ensure that all YMCA vehicles are clean and in good working condition and driven by eligible drivers with proper training.

Maintain all building alarm and fire suppression inspections and conduct quarterly unannounced fire drills.

Assist in recruiting/hiring direct report staff. Train, develop, schedule and direct assigned staff.

Develop and control department budgets related to the position. Provide data and reports as required for assigned area of responsibility.

Ensure compliance with all YGBW policies and standard operating procedures.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

Minimum of five years of facilities management experience.

Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.

Skills in budget management and project management.

Obtain and/or maintain a valid driver’s license.

Possess or be able to obtain Certified Pool Operators registration within one year of hire.

Possess or be able to obtain PA class 24 Pesticide Certification within one year of hire.

Must obtain Class 1 Amusement Ride Inspector certification within one year of hire.

Be willing to alter work schedule to deal with job demands and manage competing priorities.

Obtain and maintain all new hire certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire.

Basic computer skills required.

Must be fluent in spoken and written English.
