Hillyard, Inc. is currently hiring a Sales Support Technician to join our team in East Hartford, CT.
Looking to break into sales—but want real experience first?
This role is designed for individuals who enjoy hands‑on work and want to build the skills, product knowledge, and customer relationships needed to grow into a future sales position.
You’ll work directly with customers, support installations, and gain firsthand experience with the solutions our sales team delivers every day.
What You’ll Do
Assist with hard floor coatings and refinishing projects at customer sites
Support equipment and chemical dispenser installations
Work alongside sales professionals during customer visits, demos, and training sessions
Help deliver and demonstrate cleaning equipment and solutions
Build relationships with customers through hands‑on service and support
Learn how to assess customer needs and identify solution opportunities
Maintain tools, equipment, and installation readiness
Provide occasional warehouse and operational support
What You Bring
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Interest in growing into a customer‑facing or sales role
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to work with tools and in a physical, hands‑on environment
Strong communication skills and a customer‑first mindset
Experience driving with a trailer (preferred)
