About The Role The Fulfillment Associate is responsible for handling shipping documentation that deals with imports and exports; maintaining inventory, inspecting products for damage, maintaining an organized warehouse space and adhering to company fulfillment regulations. This role works closely with all workers in the warehouse, as well as the customer service personnel. The Fulfillment Associate may also interact with customers by handling their inquiries and attending to their specified needs. This role may also involve routine cleaning and maintenance duties, as determined by the needs of the day, and as assigned by the supervisor. The Fulfillment Associate will ensure workplace health and safety requirements are met and take responsibility for the security of the facility and stock.

Responsibilities

Verifies orders for shipment, delivering the proper paperwork, packaging and quantity for each order to the required destination.

Inspects all goods being shipped and received, reporting defective, damaged items, shortages/overages or non-conformance to specifications and reports any discrepancies to Manager/Supervisor.

Packages shipments for deliveries, including weighing items and packaging contents appropriately.

Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates.

Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage.

Performs data entry, merchandise scan‑ins and other required quality assurance steps that confirm the contents of each order while tracking inventory for the company.

Accurately fills out paperwork, keeps record of invoices received with details on receipts to be entered in the inventory system.

Obtains signatures and ensures prompt delivery.

Receive, verify, stage and stock incoming material, either independently or as part of a team, depending on order size and daily staffing needs.

Updates management or supervisor on the status of inventory, shipments and deliveries.

Organizes, inventories and restocks supplies and products in the warehouse.

Operates forklift and other machinery needed to transport heavy items around the warehouse.

Assists in loading/unloading trucks.

Ensures the warehouse area is cleaned, organized and that all safety procedures are being always followed.

Inspect and maintain warehouse equipment including pallet jacks, floor lifts and basic tools. Report any malfunctions, insufficiencies or necessary repairs through the relevant channels.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Skills

Basic understanding of records, inventories and other routine documentation used in the warehouse.

Understanding of warehouse procedures and regulations.

Ability to remain organized.

Works well with a team.

Exhibits effective communication skills, essential to providing instructions and suggestions about warehouse organization to management and other shipping associates.

Ability to meet the safety targets established for warehouse operations.

Maintain effective organizational and interpersonal skills, sustained attention to detail.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Some prior warehouse and logistics experience preferred.

Experience with warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks and computer‑based inventory systems preferred.

Strong organizational skills.

Detail‑oriented outlook toward tasks.

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Meet established volume activity standards for the position which includes bending, lifting heavy boxes (up to 50 lbs) and being on your feet all day.

Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license for forklift truck required.

Must be able to safely access and navigate the warehouse operations and production areas.
