Salary: $32.67–$44.83 per hour (up to $44.83)

Role Overview We are looking for a Senior Technical Designer with deep expertise in suiting – ideally menswear – to join our team as an individual contributor. In this role, you will own the full technical design process from development through final fit, working directly with overseas factories and vendors to bring product to life with precision and integrity. You will be embedded in a collaborative design and technical services team, reporting to the Technical Services Manager, with the opportunity to mentor Assistant Technical Designers.

What You’ll Do

Execute the end‑to‑end technical design process from initial development to final fit approval

Analyze and evaluate garments to develop correct fit specifications aligned with brand standards

Develop and maintain detailed technical specifications (tech packs) for all assigned product categories

Communicate fit intent clearly to overseas factories and vendors; issue approvals and correction requests

Make appropriate adjustments with manufacturers to maintain the integrity of design‑approved prototypes

Monitor product quality, construction, and costing to ensure alignment with target price points

Ensure all products are developed consistent with established fit quality standards and manufacturer capabilities

Partner cross‑functionally with design, merchandising, and sourcing teams throughout the development calendar

May oversee and provide direction to Assistant Technical Designers

What You’ll Bring

5+ years of technical design experience, with a strong background in suiting (menswear preferred)

Deep command of garment construction, pattern‑making principles, and fit analysis across structured categories

Proven ability to write and communicate clear, accurate tech packs and fit comments to international factories

Strong understanding of manufacturing capabilities, cost implications, and quality control standards

Collaborative communicator who can work fluidly with design, production, and vendor partners

Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and/or industry‑standard PLM platforms

Ability to manage multiple development cycles simultaneously in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment

Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or equivalent professional experience

Nice to Have

Experience mentoring junior technical designers

Exposure to broader tailored categories (woven pants, dress shirts, outerwear)

Familiarity with sustainable or performance fabric technical requirements
