The
Commercial Operations Representative
supports a variety of loan processing and servicing tasks for all commercial and business loan types by completing tasks accurately, meeting tight deadlines, and maintaining precise loan records in alignment with STCU policies. Responsibilities may include a specialization or mixture of loan processing or servicing tasks across Small Business, Commercial, Agricultural, and other specialized products, with guidance and oversight from senior team members and management. This role requires strong technical aptitude, familiarity with commercial lending terminology, and the ability to manage competing priorities. Designed as a growth position, it provides exposure to advanced commercial lending operations functions and prepares the employee for progression into higher-level roles within the Commercial Loan Operations team. Core Job Requirements / Outcomes
Protect STCU’s legal and financial interests
by accurately documenting borrowing structures, collateral, repayment terms, underwriting requirements, and covenants. Process and fund loan requests within SLAs for a broad range of Small Business, Commercial, and Agricultural products—including real estate, construction, lines of credit, equipment and vehicle loans, and SBA/USDA/Farmer Mac programs—by using strong knowledge of commercial lending policy, regulations, legal documentation, third-party reports, and credit approvals. Provide exceptional service and operational support
by efficiently completing loan servicing inquiries and monthly reporting—such as SBA and participation payments, delinquent tax and HMDA reporting, flood insurance renewals, GL balancing, and invoice processing—while ensuring accurate system data entry and collaborating with senior team members to resolve complex issues. Assist in task coverage during team member absences
by taking on increased workloads to help maintain service levels. Support accurate documentation by reviewing departmental procedures and communicating any necessary updates or corrections to senior team members and management. Other Essential Functions

that contribute to a collaborative, effective, respectful, and inclusive team environment by providing support to the team through daily problem-solving and troubleshooting. Proactively communicate challenges by identifying obstacles and ideas for improvement to senior team members and management. Build member and staff confidence

by adhering to established service level agreements, departmental quality standards, and performance metrics. Contribute to strategic goals
by participating in projects as needed. Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate or bachelor's degree in business administration or related field is preferred. Job Experience:
Minimum three years experience in lending required including loan document preparation, booking, and/or loan servicing tasks. Robust knowledge of lending regulations, reporting requirements, and credit policy and procedures required. Business and commercial lending knowledge and experience preferred. Software Skills:
Previous experience with loan origination software is required. Proficient knowledge of MS Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams. Physical Demands:
Must be able to regularly talk, hear and operate a computer, keyboard and mouse and occasionally lift, pull/push and carry up to 10 pounds with accommodations. Work Conditions:
Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds at a low or moderate level consistent with an office setting. Exposure to high-stress, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Other:
Perform additional duties as assigned for the efficient operation of the department and the organization. This includes the possibility of being assigned temporarily to other locations. Additional Information
