
Social and Digital Media Coordinator

Overview
The Social and Digital Media Coordinator will support marketing and promotional efforts and increase the online presence of Iowa Western and Reiver Athletics through the creation of social and digital media content across platforms, and the implementation of social and digital media strategy. Responsibilities
Demonstrate IWCC’s core mission, vision and values. Create social and digital media content including videos, images and written messaging. Manage and oversee select Iowa Western social media accounts. Assist in the development and implementation of social and digital media strategy. Collaborate with the Sports Marketing department and with social media and marketing colleagues across other departments on both strategy and content creation. Update social media posting schedules. Monitor conversations and online activity across the institution to ensure those representing IWCC online are following guidelines and best-practice tools. Encourage greater participation and grow Iowa Western’s social media participation. Monitor trending hashtags and topics to identify opportunities to integrate with college initiatives. Track social and digital marketing efforts. Improve results by evaluating and redesigning processes, approach, and coordination. Update job knowledge through educational and professional development opportunities and personal networks. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Associate degree, plus 1-year experience in an applicable role; or equivalent education and experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to articulate with diverse groups of people. Expert design abilities—photography, video and graphics. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and produce error-free work. Proficient use of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Proficient use of Adobe Products (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, etc.). Aptitude on various social media platforms such as Instagram, X, Facebook. Capacity to analyze data and track results. Ability to read, write and speak English fluently. Enthusiastic and dedicated to the challenges of helping other people. Ability to function collaboratively as part of a fast-paced, customer-oriented team. Professional in communications, appearance, relationships, and responsiveness. Positive attitude and adaptability. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality at all times. Self-starter with the ability to perform with little or no direct supervision. Regular, prompt and reliable attendance. Ability to pass a background check. Physical & Driving Requirements
The employee frequently is required to sit for extended periods of time and use hands to operate computer keyboard, telephone and basic office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. Ability to drive company-owned or personal vehicle. Cognitive Requirements
