Kauai Air Conditioning & Plumbing is looking for motivated individuals ready to learn a skilled trade from the ground up. As an Entry Level HVAC Tech, you’ll be trained on the job by experienced technicians who will teach you basic maintenance in the field. You will learn hands‑on skills that are always in demand, and work towards a long‑term career with real growth opportunities. If you’re dependable, willing to work hard, and ready to start building your future, this is your chance to step into a stable, rewarding career, no prior HVAC experience required.
Job Functions
Assist Maintenance Technician with preventative maintenance on various residential HVAC units. Includes changing or washing filters, flushing/cleaning drain lines, inspection of belts, pumps, motors, compressors, electrical/control panels, washing evaporator and condenser coils, and cleaning indoor units and grilles.
Support Service Technicians with minor repairs and troubleshooting.
Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized job site. Must leave customer jobsite cleaner than it was at arrival.
Assist in maintaining accurate records of work performed and parts used. This includes the completion of repair logs, HVAC replacement forms, and thorough documentation within Service Titan.
Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work vehicle.
Perform work with a focus on Safety and Quality.
Work as a team – practice honesty and transparency, take responsibility for your actions, be flexible, work together to identify issues/problems and develop solutions.
Take responsibility for safety performance and program compliance.
Job Qualifications
High school Diploma or equivalent required.
Valid Driver’s License
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to relate with a variety of personality types.
Attention to detail and the ability to complete work to a deadline.
Motivated to learn all that is necessary with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of residential HVAC equipment.
Good organizational and time management skills to handle multiple issues.
Ability to work well with others.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Ability to work outdoors, on roofs and in attics/crawlspaces.
