Specialized Experience

To be eligible at the GS-13, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to a GS-12. Specialized experience is defined as : experience in providing program and analytical support in addressing complex law enforcement, community and victim witness outreach issues; providing assistance and consultation on Public Affairs issues such as requests from news media and other members of the public, the development of social media strategies, and planning of delivery of organization messages to public. Career Transition Assistance Plan (CTAP)
