
Distribution Associate

GENERAL SUMMARY
This position is responsible for processing incoming and outgoing shipments as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Maintain inventory integrity by performing cycle count activities
Fill and issue orders and/or back orders to authorized personnel
Housekeeping practices in the stockroom and distribution areas
Loads and unload trucks and UPS shipments
Perform basic machine assembly when necessary
Indicate routing and arranging for proper distribution procedures
Complete and assists with special projects
Operate forklift as required
Assure company quality goals are met
Perform other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of experience and training.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, and Visual Basic)
ERP Software (Syteline, BAAN, LN, SAP, JDE, 4th Shift, or similar)
