Description
NET Credit Union is seeking an experienced loan officer to join our fast-paced growing team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, technical proficiency and a drive to help members achieve their financial goals.
This is a full time position with an excellent benefit package.
Requirements
Interview loan applicants and provide information on loan products and alternative products that best meet the member’s needs. Request and review all required information and documentation to secure a loan
Pull credit reports and perform in-depth analysis regarding member’s credit history and score, verifying debts and providing insight and guidance to assist members with loan applications. This position is also responsible for underwriting the loans
Must be able to perform typical financial calculations including, but not limited to, loan to value ratio, debt to income ratio, monthly payments, interest paid over life of loan, revolving ratio of credit lines
Be able to discuss alternatives to members if loan application is denied and formulate plan to help improve the members credit score
Must be comfortable offering and discussing services and promoting additional products and services that the credit union offers
When necessary, execute duties described in the Member Expert I position, such as processing transactions, withdrawals, loan payments and deposits on members accounts
Understand and follow proper policy and procedure according to credit union guidelines, and keep up to date on any necessary trainings that are required of your position
Must have thorough working knowledge of all Credit Union products and services and how they can benefit our members
Work in a team oriented setting and contribute as necessary
This position will participate in working a Saturday rotation
Other duties as assigned
