Join a leading healthcare organization in the Midwest region as the Director of a prominent Cancer Institute. This role offers the opportunity to lead clinical and business operations, providing strategic oversight and financial management for oncology services and programs. General Summary

Under general supervision, the Director is responsible for leadership, management, and operational oversight of the Cancer Institute. This includes strategic planning and collaboration with medical staff and healthcare professionals to ensure quality outcomes, patient safety, and regulatory compliance. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Provide visionary leadership to ensure compassionate, high-quality patient care. Collaborate with healthcare teams to plan, organize, and oversee quality outcomes, risk management, and compliance. Manage departmental operations through effective supervision, including staff evaluation, training, and motivation. Delegate responsibilities clearly and establish accountability standards. Develop and review policies and procedures to meet organizational goals and recommend improvements to executive leadership. Utilize planning and research skills to make informed decisions aligned with organizational objectives. Foster collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to enhance efficiency and outcomes. Implement services that promote optimal healthcare delivery and excellent customer service. Educate employees on service excellence for patients, visitors, physicians, and staff. Create systems encouraging participation in planning, implementing, and evaluating healthcare standards. Maintain relationships with referring centers, providers, and affiliated programs. Enhance patient experience through best practices, care pathways, and effective communication. Drive employee engagement through strategic initiatives. Oversee oncology outreach, education, screening, and community events. Lead programmatic growth of the Cancer Institute. Education

Bachelor's degree in a related field is required. A Master's degree such as MBA or MHA is preferred. Experience

Minimum of five years in a managerial or higher leadership role within healthcare. Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills are essential. Knowledge of regulatory guidelines from agencies like TJC, OSHA, and Health and Senior Services is required. Additional Skills

Proven expertise in business planning and program development with a track record of advancing quality clinical services. Certification/License

None required. Mental/Physical Requirements

Ability to maintain concentration during intense periods and meet physical demands such as standing, walking, sitting, and lifting up to 10 lbs. Frequent multitasking and handling stressful situations are expected. Working Conditions
