Social Media Intern
If you love creating short form content, experimenting with new trends, and turning everyday moments into engaging stories, this internship is for you. You'll gain hands-on experience managing social media end-to-end-planning, producing, posting, and analyzing content that reaches thousands of viewers. Responsibilities
Support and help manage our client's social media presence across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and X. Create engaging short-form content including videos, graphics, and captions that bring operations, sustainability efforts, workforce stories, and community impact to life. Capture authentic on-site content, including events, tours, volunteer activities, and "day-in-the-life" moments. Engage with online audiences by responding to comments and messages in a professional, on brand voice and monitoring relevant industry conversations. Assist with planning and maintaining a weekly social content calendar (approximately 3-5 posts per week), balancing scheduled and real-time content opportunities. Track and summarize basic performance metrics (engagement, reach, views, follower growth) to help inform content improvements. - Support ad hoc communications projects and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned. Skills - preferred
Comfort using social platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Experience with content creation tools such as CapCut, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar. Strong writing skills with attention to tone and audience. Basic understanding of social media analytics and engagement metrics. General computer literacy, including Microsoft Office or Google Workspace. Organized, detail-oriented, and able to follow brand guidelines. Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Willingness to learn about port operations and global logistics. Qualifications
Eligible to work in the U.S. Education - actively enrolled in an accredited bachelor's degree program (Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Digital Media, Public Relations, Business, or a related field preferred).
