Mortgage Escrow Accounting Specialist

Basis Function
Responsible for paying all insurance out of the escrow accounts in a timely manner.
Description Position Title: Mortgage Escrow Accounting Specialist
Reports To VP - Mortgage
Responsibilities
Ensure all insurance has correct lienholder and all forced placed (CPI) insurance on RE loans.
Assist in entering loan data into core system and properly book loans.
Assist with annual escrow analysis.
Assist with all real estate payment transfer requests and analysis on balance or payment issues.
Serve as backup to administrative assistant.
Back up for all Triad loan booking, including pending.
Work well with co-workers and maintain a “team” attitude within the Credit Union.
Adhere to all Red River Employees Federal Credit Union policies and procedures.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Experience in the real estate department of a credit union or equivalent experience with similar financial or real estate institutions.
High school diploma or the equivalent, with some college desirable.
Competent computer skills and use of standard office equipment.
Ability to meet, speak, and deal effectively with people, being professional always.
Must maintain a neat and professional appearance.
Physical requirements: ability to operate normal office equipment and some lifting, not to exceed 25 pounds.
