Offer Description The activity involves supporting the development of models addressing several topics in rocket propulsion. These include two-phase flows and internal ballistics in solid rocket motors, film cooling systems in liquid rocket engines, retro-propulsion, flows in converging-diverging nozzles, and combustion instabilities in rocket engines. The research requires knowledge of programming methods using both traditional and modern techniques

Selection process Qualifications and Interview evaluation REQUIREMENT: Good knowledge of the Italian language; PhD in Aerospace Engineering, or an equivalent qualification; knowledge and expertise in gas-dynamic modeling for propulsion applications, programming, solid rocket propulsion, and liquid rocket propulsion; max 5 publications PREFERRED SKILLS: aptitude for research will be assessed through the discussion of problems and models related to the internal ballistics of solid rocket motors, the capabilities and limitations of numerical methods for the analysis of steady and unsteady phenomena in rocket engines, the underlying mechanisms of high-frequency combustion instabilities in liquid rocket engines, and the fundamental issues of retro-propulsion
