You will be at the forefront of creating remarkable fashion collections that reflect the essence of our brand, with a focus in outerwear, leather, wovens and denim. Collaborate with the Senior Designer to craft a cohesive collection that aligns with the brand's distinctive aesthetic. Conduct ongoing market research to identify new trends, fabrics, details, patterns, outerwear fabrics, leather treatments, denim washes and prints. Present tear sheets, sketches, and samples to the Senior Designer. Assist in the development of leather treatments, denim washes, prints and yarn dyes that harmonize with the brand identity and current trends, while mindful of cost. Create and update comprehensive tech packs from prototype to bulk production. Ensure prompt and accurate updates of design changes in tech packs, including thread, trim, lab dip comments, and quality approvals. Organize and present cohesive presentation boards. Maintain well-organized bins of lab dips, qualities, and samples on a seasonal basis. Manage and adhere to the design calendar, attending all relevant product meetings as required. Provide assistance with other responsibilities and projects as needed. Support the design team during styling for shows and presentations. Qualifications & Skills
Strong CAD skills using Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop. Proficient hand sketching skills. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to troubleshoot and work effectively under pressure. Strong multitasking and prioritization abilities. Resourceful, hands-on, with a sense of urgency. Understanding of leather, outerwear, prints, woven shirts and denim. Innate awareness of the perceived value of a product. Experience
Undergraduate degree in fashion design or a related field. 1 year experience in a professional or internship setting. Compensation
