Compensation Range Hourly: $21.60 - $26.30 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)

About This Job Our Personal Bankers are personable, goal‑oriented, and passionate about helping customers improve their financial health. As a Personal Banker, you’ll gain valuable insight into banking and finance while assisting customers with their daily financial challenges. Commerce rewards talent, skills, and contributions. We’re looking for a new Personal Banker to join our team at the Aurora location.

Personal Bankers are the key ambassadors of the Commerce Bank brand. In this retail banking role, you will develop and maintain long‑lasting relationships with customers, co‑workers, and internal business partners. Your goal is to uncover each customer’s financial needs and provide appropriate solutions.

As a Personal Banker, you’ll:

Receive the tools, resources, and training needed to be successful and to advance your career with Commerce Bank.

Deliver an excellent customer experience both in person and over the phone to meet customers’ financial needs.

Actively listen to customers so you can make appropriate recommendations that match their needs.

Educate customers on a variety of retail products and digital solutions that improve their financial wellness.

Ensure financial transactions are completed accurately and efficiently, while complying with all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Establish relationships with internal departments and refer customers to bank specialists when complex financial needs are identified.

Earn more than your base pay through a quarterly incentive program.

Work Schedule

Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5:15 pm, every other Saturday 8:45 am – 12:15 pm, with a half‑day in the middle of the week.

Essential Functions

Interact with customers in person and over the phone to ensure their financial needs are met through needs‑based conversations and sales fulfillment.

Actively listen, understand, and recommend products and services that meet customer needs, ensuring individual and team sales and services goals are achieved.

Educate customers on retail products and digital solutions that enhance the experience and contribute to sales goals.

Ensure financial transactions are completed accurately and efficiently while complying with all policies and regulatory requirements.

Identify complex financial needs and refer customers to bank specialists when appropriate.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

Strong sales skills with the ability to provide an excellent customer experience through in‑person and phone interactions.

Ability to meet personal and branch sales and customer service expectations.

Motivated, organized self‑starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Adaptable to a variety of situations with an optimistic outlook aligned with our culture and core values.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Education & Experience

High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

1+ years sales or customer service experience required.

Experience working in an environment with individual and team sales goals preferred.

Position may be filled as a Personal Banker I or Personal Banker II, depending on experience and education.

Federal Regulations For this position, federal regulations require Commerce Bank to prepare an investigatory consumer report that will disclose credit history. If you express interest and are considered for this position, you will be asked to authorize that report.

Compensation Details

Commerce is required by law to provide a reasonable estimate of compensation for this role. The disclosed range is $21.60 to $26.30 per hour. Additional compensation may be earned through a performance‑based incentive plan tied to meeting performance goals.
