Summary
The Event Specialist supports the Rider Gear Events team by assisting with event logistics, display setup, and on-site activations for WPS-owned brands such as FLY Racing and RST Moto. This role plays a key part in delivering exceptional brand experiences at races, trade shows, and dealer events. A CDL license is strongly recommended and involves driving company vehicles to events, overseeing event logistics, and serving as the point of contact at assigned events. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, hands‑on, dependable, and passionate about powersports, with the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and travel frequently.
Duties
Event Transportation
Safely operate and transport company assets (trailers, vehicles, equipment) to and from events.
Ensure proper loading and unloading of event vehicles and equipment.
Perform routine checks and maintenance on event vehicles and equipment.
Event Setup & Tear Down
Assist with the assembly and breakdown of event displays, booths, and branded activations.
Ensure all event assets are presented professionally and consistently with brand standards.
Logistics Support
Help coordinate transportation and organization of event materials and equipment.
Maintain inventory of event assets and report any maintenance or replacement needs.
On‑Site Event Assistance
Support the Events Manager during activations, ensuring smooth operations and timely execution.
Serve as a potential resource for athletes, dealers, and partners during events.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Sports Marketing, Athlete Support, and Creative Services teams to execute event plans, activations, and hospitality services.
Travel
Participate in select events, including races, trade shows, and dealer activations, requiring overnight and weekend travel.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Event Management, or related field preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in event coordination, logistics, or related role (powersports industry preferred).
CDL preferred, or willingness to obtain within 1st year of employment.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Positive and engaging attitude and professionalism to provide world‑class hospitality services.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Willingness to travel frequently, including weekends. Up to 50%
Passion for powersports and familiarity with Rider Gear brands is highly desirable.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee may be required to sit for prolonged periods. Using proper lifting techniques, the employee must be able to lift up to 70 lbs., move heavy equipment, and work outdoors in varying climates.
