Women for Wolves, founded in 2013 by Anjali Ranadive, is a mission-driven organization dedicated to wolf and wolf-dog rescue, wild wolf advocacy, and ecological balance through compassion and coexistence. Over the past decade, the organization has become a sanctuary, advocacy platform, and leadership space empowering women in conservation. Women for Wolves has rescued and rehabilitated over 300 animals, empowered more than 60 women in leadership roles, reached millions through educational initiatives, and supported over 30 policies for wolf protection. Focus areas include wildlife rescue, Indigenous partnerships, youth programs, environmental stewardship, and rewilding projects for ecosystem restoration. Role Description This is a hybrid Volunteer Grant Writer role is based in El Dorado Hills, CA, with flexibility for remote work. The Grant Writer will research funding opportunities, write and submit grant proposals, manage grant administration, and assist with broader fundraising efforts. This role directly supports the mission of Women for Wolves by securing critical funding for conservation and advocacy projects. Women for Wolves is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Volunteer Grant Writer to support our growing nonprofit organization. Our work focuses on wildlife conservation, wolf and wolf-dog advocacy, humane coexistence, and youth education programs that inspire the next generation to protect our natural world. Role Responsibilities Research and identify relevant grant opportunities aligned with our mission Write, edit, and submit compelling grant proposals Assist in developing program narratives for education, conservation, and outreach initiatives Track grant deadlines and reporting requirements Collaborate with our team to gather impact data and program details Qualifications Experience in Grant Writing and Proposal Writing, with the ability to craft effective, high-quality submissions Strong skills in Prospect Research and identifying suitable funding opportunities Experience in Grant Administration and ensuring compliance with grant requirements Knowledge or experience in Fundraising and donor engagement strategies Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and project management abilities Passion for wildlife conservation, women’s empowerment, or environmental advocacy Experience in nonprofit fundraising is a plus it Compensation This is a volunteer position to start. However, as Women for Wolves continues to grow and secure funding, there is potential for this role to transition into a paid position once grants are successfully obtained. #J-18808-Ljbffr
