Reporting Structure Reports To: Senior Director, Metabolic Marketing Direct Report(s): None Areas Managed: Metabolic Marketing Overview The Sr. Manager of Metabolic Marketing is accountable for directing and leading the development and execution of marketing strategies for assigned product(s) and customer segments (i.e. HCPs, Caregivers and Patients). The development of short/mid/long-term strategies, annual brand plans, tactical execution and related activities in rare disease is complex, challenging, and ever-changing. As such, the Sr. Manager of Metabolic Marketing requires knowledge and application of marketing disciplines, scientific acumen, strong collaboration skills, effective decision making, and clear guidance to meet financial targets & other objectives with seamless execution. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop strategic and tactical plans for RRD products for current and future indications, including any needed market research, sales force assessments, targeting assessments, positioning, messaging and OPEX budget development and management. Develop & implement creative/innovative, patient-centric, and appropriate brand marketing strategies and plans that are fully integrated across the team to ensure accuracy and timely execution. Ensure all annual commercial objectives associated with assigned brands are achieved. This includes sales, patient target numbers, and other KPIs. Facilitate and ensure effective and efficient cross-functional collaboration and alignment with other marketing teams, sales, medical affairs, managed care, reimbursement, business analytics, and others in and outside the Business Unit to meet or exceed brand objectives. Develop and manage convention / meeting strategic and tactical plans, ensure that disease awareness and scientific meetings are attended by the appropriate personnel to support plan. Manage key opinion leader (KOL) development to include advisory board(s) as needed. Manage key related advocacy constituents and organizations. Identify & align all required resources - internally and externally - to ensure effective and seamless achievement of goals. Identify and manage third-party/external vendors to support plans and activities, e.g., advertising firms and other outside parties. Manage third-party firm performance through all stages of delivery. Act in full compliance with all laws, regulations, and policies including adverse events/pharmacovigilance responsibilities. Manage the product budget. Perform additional duties as may be assigned. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree in business or life sciences strongly preferred. At least three years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry experience within marketing, new product planning and/or sales functions required; prior work in the rare disease and orphan drug markets ideal. Experience with OPDP and/or FDA requirements. Small-company, agency, or start-up experience strongly preferred. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding goals and demonstrated ability to drive performance. Previous experience in developing and executing brand strategic and tactical plans. Proven track record for consistently meeting or exceeding quantitative and qualitative targets. Exhibits passion and empathy to build meaningful experiences with HCPs by understanding their needs and desires. Ability to interact with internal stakeholders, including senior leaders across the organization. Ability to interact with external stakeholders, including medical thought leaders, organized patient organizations, and others. Strong project management skills with the ability to proactively manage competing priorities. Personal drive, highly collaborative, perceptive, a problem solver and exhibit strategic insight and innovative agility. Self-starter who functions well both independently and within a team. Possess excellent communication skills that lead to proactive, clear internal and cross-collaboration communication. Ability to navigate organization with minimal direction, in support of completing tasks. Flexibility to accommodate constantly changing environment. Familiarity with medical review processes. Excellent computer skills. Strong proficiency in Microsoft programs: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, as well as Veeva systems. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities. Location/Travel This position is a hybrid role and will require at least 3 days/week attendance in the company’s headquarters in Bridgewater, NJ. This position requires moderate domestic travel (30‑40%). FLSA Classification This position is considered Exempt.
