Role Overview
A growing aerospace manufacturing business, part of an international group with recent global acquisitions, is seeking an experienced
Operations Director
to support ongoing expansion and organizational transformation.
This role will report directly to senior executive leadership and oversee a team of approximately 30 employees, including functions such as maintenance and purchasing. The position has been created in response to continued growth and evolving organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements Extensive experience within the
aerospace manufacturing sector , with strong familiarity in industry terminology, regulatory frameworks (including ITAR), and operational processes Proven leadership experience managing teams of
30+ employees
within a manufacturing environment Background in
small-to-medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)
preferred, with the ability to operate effectively outside of highly siloed structures Hands-on leadership style, with a willingness to take a
“sleeves-up” approach
and manage multiple functional areas Demonstrated ability to
scale teams and operations
in a fast-growing environment Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with a focus on
cultural alignment, adaptability, and positivity Experience in
supply chain management
is advantageous Technical background (e.g., engineering) is beneficial but not essential Bilingual capability is a bonus. Track record of
developing talent and promoting from within
highly valued
Location This is an
on-site role Relocation support available for strong candidates No remote or hybrid working options are currently specified
