The Assistant Packaging Designer plays a pivotal role in the design process for packaging and display concepts, adhering to licensed brand guidelines from initial concept to the creation of finalized, brand-approved ready for press files. Demonstrating creativity and ingenuity, this role involves crafting solutions that adeptly convey product attributes while staying within specified brand guidelines and cost constraints. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate on renowned national brands. This is an exciting opportunity to engage in dynamic team for packaging, alongside contributing to diverse point of sale communications initiatives spanning across our extensive portfolio of brands and retailers.

Responsibilities: Collaborate closely with the Packaging Designer and Packaging team to conceptualize, develop, and execute packaging strategies. Serve as a vital team member within the Packaging & Corporate Creative Services department, offering creative insights and recommendations to bolster various projects. Demonstrate exceptional time management skills to consistently deliver top-tier work within the constraints of fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Produce and finalize packaging and display mechanicals to ready for press (RFP) standards. Contribute to business initiatives ensuring alignment with design and cost parameters. Work in tandem with Packaging Developers and Packaging Production Artists to uphold design integrity and efficiency throughout the packaging development process. Image retouching as required for packaging and display purposes. Foster collaboration across cross-functional teams to achieve collective goals and business objectives.

Qualifications: 6-12 months experience in packaging design, and/or POS displays (internship or full time) Strong creativity, conceptualization, execution, organization and design skills Experience with licensed branding, and interpreting brand style guides for product extensions Bachelors in related field Expert level Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office skills required Experience with PLM and Product Management software a plus Experience creating “rfp” (ready for print) mechanicals Experience with AI platforms

Annual salary starting at $50,000.
