Senior Compliance Consultant – Employee Benefits
Our client, a national leader in employee benefits compliance and administration, is seeking a
Senior Compliance Consultant
to join their growing Regulatory Solutions team. This is a
fully remote role
with a strong remote‑first culture. Compensation: $120K–$140K
About the Role This position supports employers, brokers, and TPAs by interpreting and advising on federal and state requirements for employer‑sponsored benefit plans. The Consultant provides day‑to‑day compliance guidance, legislative interpretation, and client‑facing support across a wide range of health & welfare benefit regulations. Key Responsibilities Serve as a trusted compliance advisor to clients nationwide Respond to 25–30 compliance inquiries daily (phone/email) within a 24‑hour SLA Deliver monthly webinars, trainings, and seminars Draft bi‑weekly compliance articles and develop educational resources Monitor legislation and regulatory updates to keep guidance current Support product development as an internal subject matter expert Mentor colleagues and help enhance internal processes Occasional travel for trainings/conferences (1–2x per quarter) Qualifications 5+ years
of employee benefits/health & welfare compliance experience Deep knowledge of
ERISA, COBRA, ACA, MHPAEA, HIPAA , and related regulations Strong analytical, consulting, and communication skills Ability to translate complex regulations into clear, practical guidance Experience with compliance research tools (e.g., EBIA, Westlaw) JD required Additional Information: Personal Time Off (PTO) is offered on an accrual basis up to 184 hours a year, 13 Paid Holidays, and up to 6 weeks of Paid Parental Leave. PTO and holiday hours are prorated based on hire date within the calendar year. Paid Sick Leave Benefit offerings for full-time employment include medical, dental, vision, term life and AD&D insurance, short-term and long-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits, wellness plans, and a 401k plan Annual discretionary bonus based on individual performance
